Katikati Cricket Club was established in 1878 making it one if not the oldest sporting clubs in Katikati.

The Club provides local coaching and matches at grassroots level from age 4 upwards. Our Club currently fields 5 junior and 1 senior team. In the past we have had 2 senior teams and up to 8 Junior teams. The Club has produced a good number of age group representatives at Bay of Plenty and Northern Districts level.

The club has 4 artificial wickets and in 2020 will once again have a grass wicket which will drive new interest in cricket.

 

The Club has not had dedicated Clubrooms for over 75 years. Its desperately wants to establish properly designed indoor nets to establish a local competition and provide excellent all year round training facilities for our players.  Our goal is providing pathways that can provide cricket throughout an active life...

Katikati Cricket is a founding member of the Katikati Sport and Recreation centre.
